And the answer can be found in America. A few years ago – a few tanning lotion wholesalers made tanning lotions available on line – just like TANMAD. However, unlike TANMAD – tanning products were available at wholesale prices for all customers.

This was great for all retail customers – heavily discounted tanning lotions. The problem was though – the tanning salons lost a lot of lotions sales as all their customers were buying lotions on line for the same price.

So – a couple of the lotion manufacturers (like ETS) banned suppliers from selling lotions online as there we so many complaints from the salons.

On TANMAD – we have a password system, so to see trade prices you have to have a trade account, and this system has proven to be very successful – so we keep trying to get suppliers like Cal Tan, who make great products, to let us add their products to the site – but we have been unsuccessful so far.

Now we know that there are a couple of sites with this information on…but we have decided to go with the wishes of the suppliers and work with them to make their products available to more people. So, watch this space, you never know….one day they may let us!
